We all fully appreciate that this is a very challenging (and perhaps occasionally boring) time, so we have put together some Scouting resources that you and your young people could do to pass the time, in hopefully an enjoyable and educational way!
The Great Indoors

UK Scouting have pulled together some inspired indoor activity ideas that you and your entire family can try at home, which will also count towards some of your badges. There is something for all ages, take a look here:

Jamboree On The Internet (JOTI)
You can also chat to other Scouts around the world, and even play Minecraft
The JOTI Organisers are running a special edition JOTI this weekend (3rd – 5th April)
Whilst we can’t run our normal weekend session for this (and we’ve just had the internet upgraded at the Scout HQ! 😢), you can still get involved at home!
The easiest thing to do, is if you have 10 – 20 minutes free this weekend, jump on their website, and explore the virtual campsite to see what is going on.
We would advise that you take part along with your young person, just to make sure they are following the rules and are nice and safe online!
For the more adventurous, check out the ScoutLink website, where you will find details on how you can also chat to other Scouts around the world, and even play Minecraft, like we usually do on JOTI

The rules are simple – we’re asking you all…… Hedgehogs, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network, Guides, Cadets, Leaders, Parents, and all Young People interested in joining in the fun to:
- Pack a bag
- Build a den at home / pitch a tent in the garden/ hang up a hammock (whatever you can)
- Sleep in your shelter of choice
- Build a ‘campfire’ (real or virtual)
- Take part in a “Scouty activity”
- Help with cooking a meal
Post your photos on the 28th Oxford Facebook group to keep us all updated on your progress!
